I was in the California area when the outbreak of the E. Coli hit the U.S. Restaurants and grocery stores starting pulling bagged spinach items off their menus and shelves. It was and still is big, big news for California (one of the biggest producers of spinach) . And, just for memory lane sakes, the first time I visited CA in the early 1990s, they were going thru a lettuce shortage and a head of lettuce was over $3. Lettuce, spinach....mmmm....
I just saw on Findlaw where the first Spinach lawsuit was filed in Federal court on Sept. 17th.
