Customer concerns over changes to Windows Vista licensing that would limit a transfer of the license to only one machine have moved Microsoft to revise the operating system licensing policy.

Windows Vista licensing change
For those of us who build or upgrade our own computers, this is pretty big news. It seems that Microsoft has decided to change the licensing on the retail versions of Windows Vista, the new operating system due out early next year. I'm guess this does not change the one machine/one license of the OEM versions of Windows. For details, see:
