On my way to the Seattle airport, I shared a cab with a librarian from Los Alamos. She described to me her tour experience at the Seattle Public Library. The one item that caught my attention:
the library has a huge e-bulletin board that announces to the public when a book has been checked out.
Wow, can you imagine that in our law libraries?
Could we make the e-bulletin board push technology so it would show up on our users' computers to keep them informed when a book has been checked out?
