A law library without books

I saw this headline and had to read the entire story. Go to the Tulsa World website for the entire article. I just wonder how long they can last without print materials.

Need to furnish a home office or add to a commercial kitchen?

How about setting up a law library or your own printing press?

You'll find what you need and more at the city's surplus auction, to be held at 10 a.m. Jan. 21 in the Conference Hall at the Tulsa Convention Center.

With Mayor Kathy Taylor's edict to drastically reduce the amount of paper transferred to the new City Hall, the Legal Department left behind its entire law library, Cummings said.

The books are extremely heavy, and such weight-bearing items did not make the move, she said.

For some time, the Legal Department has been moving toward totally electronic access to needed legal information, she said. (cont.)
