No broad antitrust protection for the NFL

The Supreme Court has decided that the National Football League is out of look trying for an antitrust exemption in marketing caps and such under a single business model rather than 32 individual teams.

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Supreme Court rejected the National Football League's request for broad antitrust law protection Monday, saying that it must be considered 32 separate teams - not one big business - when selling branded items like jerseys and caps...The case is American Needle v.
