AALL 2010 - Denver, CO

It has been an interesting conference so far, and I have seen some other Dallas folks. I just came back from the Bloggers' Meeting, which was held at Katie Mullen's, an Irish bar here in downtown Denver.

A few random observations:
  • Bloggers are connected - we could easily play the six degrees of law librarian blogs in 2-3 degrees.
  • Blogs are not dead. They may be morphing, but they are not dead.
  • The exhibit hall has fewer vendors this year, but that's probably just the economy.
  • Bloomberg has an exhibit.
  • I heard a very interesting talk about Pecha Kucha, a new idea that says you should do talks with twenty slides of images or few words with twenty seconds per slide. (Wikipedia entry at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pecha_Kucha)
  • PLL-SIS had the business meeting at lunch instead of breakfast.
  • Denver has been very hot.

That's all for now...
