SLA Texas Chapter Annual Fall Meeting
Friday, October 28, 2011 from 9 am to 5 pm.

The theme of our meeting this year is "The Next Boom" and we are excited that Jack W. Plunkett, CEO and Publisher of Plunkett Research, Ltd., will join us as our keynote speaker. We will start the day with a welcome and opening remarks from the Dean of SMU Libraries, Gillian McCombs, followed by informative sessions on using social media for career advancement and how to better research privately-held companies with guest speaker August Jackson. We also plan to hold an "unconference" of technology tools and applications and there will be plenty of time to socialize and network with your peers from the Texas special library community. We look forward to having you join us!

Registration includes continental breakfast, lunch, and happy hour. The meeting will be on the campus of Southern Methodist University in the Ernst & Young Gallery at the Cox School of Business, Fincher Building, located at 6212 Bishop Blvd., Dallas, TX 75275.
