Best-Selling Author, Tom Clancy has Died
Tom Clancy, best-selling author of novels such as "Patriot Games," " The Hunt for Red October," "Clear and Present Danger," and much more has died at the age of 66. Cause of his passing are unknown at this time. More information on his death and literary career, go here.

Novel on data mining - could this happen?
If you like whodunits, the newest Jeffrey Deaver novel, The Broken Window, about Lincoln Rhyme and Amelia Sachs will combine whodunit with data mining ... envision it as a "what if public records were on steroids" story that will make the privacy folks hyperventilate.
And it's truly scary... I won't spoil it for you but don't read it late at night.
