To cite or not to cite

Wikipedia, that is. There's an article at Inside Higher Education dated January 26, 2007 titled "A Stand Against Wikipedia". The article discusses actions of the history department of Middlebury College barring students from citing to Wikipedia. The article is interesting, but the comments are more thought provoking. There's even references to "teachable moments" and legal research in the comments.
