INDUSTRY RESEARCH USING THE ECONOMIC CENSUS AND OTHER GOVERNMENT SOURCES
PART 1: Wednesday, December 11, 2013 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM (EST)
To understand an industry is to
understand the context in which a company operates. This course will
review the Economic Census and other free government sources that could
help you find specific data, create an industry profile, define
competition, and monitor the business environment. If you work with
small to medium size businesses this webinar will give you the
confidence to help with marketing plans for entrepreneurs and economic
development plans for policy makers.
Hands-on "Quiz" will get you into
the sources and using the services. Come back the following week to
share what you found and discuss the joys and struggles and go deeper
into industry research.
PART 2: Wednesday, December 18, 2013 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM (EST)
We will review the hands-on "Quiz" you received on December 11,
where you practiced using the sources and services learned in Part 1.
This collaborative event will also record some of your favorite free and
fee-based sources to do industry
research.
