The Nook will continue, as Barnes & Noble will manufacture the "black and white" Nooks for serious readers, but stop manufacturing the color Nook.
In 2012, Microsoft accumulated 17.6 percentt ownership in Nook Media, while the British publisher Pearson Plc took 5 percent. Barnes & Noble owns 77.4 percent.
Does it make sense to have so many brands of readers or tablets? I expect a universal tool that will do it all. Perhaps the publishers should plug into that model.

Federal Rules eBooks Release
The Legal Information Institute of Cornell Law School will offer a free downloadable version of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, Criminal Procedure, and Evidence. The eBooks are compatible with IPad, IPhones, Nook and other software device that supports .epub files.
